My bags are packed, I'm ready to go, I'm sitting here inside my door ... just be grateful you can't hear me trying to sing that tune.
Today's weather in Ottawa isn't sunny and clear but if the freezing rain can wait until we've flown off, then all is well. I'm sure the aircraft will make a stop at the de-icing station before heading for the wild grey and cloudy yonder en route to Paris and on to Luqa, Malta. Our breakfast might be coffee and croissants in Paris. Well, at the airport.
We've watched endless YouTube videos and devoured guidebooks and are now well-prepared for the real thing. I'm not sure I'm prepared for such hilly terrain as offered everywhere in Malta, but will give it my best efforts. As for hop-on hop-off bus tours, they shall be enjoyed without any actual hopping. We have to retain our dignity.
Our accommodations in Qawra look fabulous on the laptop screen and my next post will let you know if all is as it seemed.
Watch out Malta, the Ottawa senior genealogy squad is coming.
Enjoy!! Mike
